Features of YFR-01 Ku Band Radar

Fast data update: data rate 6 seconds,  suitable for dynamic target tracking.

Low cost and high efficiency: Pitch frequency scanning does not require expensive TR components of phased array, reducing costs while ensuring performance (accuracy, data rate).

Lightweight and flexible deployment: The 27kg weight and portable design allow it to be quickly set up on roofs, vehicles or temporary positions, adapting to scenarios such as counter-terrorism and border defense.

Strong anti-clutter capability: The combination of pulse Doppler + Ku band effectively filters ground clutter and improves the detection rate of low-altitude small targets.

Modular scalability: The series design (B/C type) can adjust power consumption and functions according to different needs.

Flexible scanning combination: mechanical + electronic scanning cost is lower than full phased array, but the performance is close, and the cost performance is high.

Modular design: From lightweight and portable (26kg) to high-power long-range (100kg) series products, highly customizable.

Anti-interference ability: Linear frequency modulation pulse (LFM) and Doppler processing effectively suppress ground clutter and meteorological interference.

Application Scenarios of Pulse Doppler Radar YFR-01

Urban security:

Low-altitude security and anti-drone radar

Key facility protection: drone monitoring and interception guidance in areas such as airports, nuclear power plants, and government buildings.

Border patrol: Detect low-altitude drones or ultralight aircraft that illegally cross the border.

Military and national defense

Field air defense: Vehicle-mounted deployment provides low-altitude early warning for troops to counter the threat of cruise missiles and micro-drones.

Key point alert: Fixed stations cover 360° airspace to make up for the low-altitude blind spots of the radar network.

City and emergency management

Large-scale event security: Temporary deployment as drone detection radar at the event site to prevent interference from illegal flights.

Disaster relief: Rapid deployment after a disaster, monitoring of rescue airspace, and avoiding drone collisions with helicopters.

Coastal defense and anti-smuggling

Coastal monitoring: Detect low-altitude smuggling drones or speedboats at sea (with optoelectronic systems).

Overview

pulse doppler radar, Ku band radar

YFR-01 is a Ku band radar with azimuth machine scanning and pitch frequency scanning, which is mainly used to detect and locate low-altitude aircraft. It has optimized for drones (such as DJI Phantom 4), with a minimum detection distance of 3km, filling the low-altitude blind spot of traditional drone detection radars.

YFR-01 can be used for low-altitude alert, to intercept low, slow and small targets like drones and cruise missiles, and protect military bases and borders; and for key facility such as airport/nuclear power plant protection, to monitor drone intrusion and ensure aviation safety.

Pulse Doppler radar with three-coordinate positioning

Combining pulse Doppler technology (speed measurement + anti-clutter) and three-coordinate capabilities (range, azimuth, pitch), it can efficiently detect low-altitude slow targets (such as drones).

High accuracy radar with strong anti-interference ability

Ku band (12-18GHz) has a shorter wavelength and high angular resolution (azimuth/pitch error ≤ 0.6°), which is suitable for precise positioning of small targets (such as drones). Short wavelength has a strong ability to suppress low-altitude clutter (such as buildings and trees), but is slightly more affected by rain attenuation, and is suitable for medium and short-range applications.

Azimuth machine scanning + pitch frequency scanning

Azimuth mechanical scanning (0°~360°): Achieve horizontal omnidirectional coverage, suitable for wide-area surveillance. Pitch frequency scanning (0°~40°): Electronic beam pitch adjustment is achieved by changing the transmission frequency. Compared with pure mechanical scanning, it has faster response, simpler structure and lower cost.

Light weight and compact structure

The 27kg weight and portable design allow it to be quickly installed on rooftops, vehicles or drones with small payload, making it suitable for scenarios such as counter-terrorism and border defense.

Large target capacity

≥500 batches of target processing capabilities to meet the needs of dense airspace monitoring.

Low power consumption

The power consumption is ≤160W (YFR-01C), and it can work with a small generator or battery, making it suitable for outdoor or emergency scenarios.
