Ground Control Station, aka GCS, is the central command center for controlling an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). It is typically a portable hardware and software system that allows an operator to plan missions, monitor the drone’s real-time flight status (location, altitude, battery), and receive live data from its payload (e.g., video feed, sensor readings).
